Regenerative?
Principles for a shift to regenerative materials
The exhibition ‘Regenerative? Moving Beyond Sustainability’ challenged the idea of sustainable design in addressing today's environmental challenges. Sustainability maintains the status quo, circular design aims for zero waste, and regenerative design seeks to restore and enhance the environment.
The exhibition outlined nine principles that defined the characteristics of regenerative systems, focusing on both social and material-system levels. Each principle was exemplified by three exhibitors who embody regenerative systems in their work.
